Mark Holly
President & Chief Executive OfficerMark Holly is President & Chief Executive Officer at Crombie. Prior to this appointment, Mark led the real estate business with our strategic partner, Empire Ltd., as Senior Vice President, Real Estate & Strategic Sourcing. Mark began his career with TACC Developments, where he oversaw commercial and industrial development programs. In 2006, he joined The TDL Group (Tim Hortons) and later RBI, where he led real estate strategy, successfully increasing store count by 50 percent. In 2016, Mark joined Restaurant Development Partners, the area representative and developer of Tim Hortons in Minnesota as President. Two years later, he joined the Empire team, where he developed a transformational real estate strategy, instituted a new capital management committee and governance model, and designed Empire’s 10-year implementation strategy to achieve the company’s Climate Action Plan targets. He successfully led their real estate team in the acquisition and integration of Farm Boy and Longo’s and worked closely with Crombie to create a true partnership, generating substantial value for both companies.
Kara Cameron
Chief Financial OfficerKara Cameron is Chief Financial Officer of Crombie. Kara leads Crombie’s financial strategy, including our financial reporting, capital management, treasury, investor relations, and information technology teams. Prior to joining Crombie, Kara held progressively senior roles at Empire and Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation (NSGC). Kara is a CPA and holds a BBA from St. Francis Xavier University. She is a graduate of the Harvard Business School, Certificate of Management Excellence program. Kara serves on the IWK Foundation Board of Trustees and is Vice-Chair of their Finance and Investment Committee. Kara is Treasurer of the TANGO2 Research Foundation and President and Founder of the Canadian TANGO2 Rare Disease Foundation.
John Barnoski
Executive Vice President, Corporate DevelopmentJohn Barnoski brings a wealth of experience to Crombie in his role as Executive Vice President, Corporate Development. John leads our national corporate development program, providing oversight of Crombie's strategic partnership with Empire, and is responsible for transaction structures, major development acquisitions and dispositions, strategic asset management, and joint ventures. John has an extensive career in the real estate industry, including National Vice President of Real Estate at Shoppers Drug Mart/Loblaw Companies Ltd. He is a graduate of Schulich's Executive Development Program and holds a Diploma in Assessment, Appraisal & Real Estate Management, a P1 License from the Law Society of Upper Canada, and an Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) designation from the Institute of Assessors.
Arie Bitton
Executive Vice President, Leasing & OperationsAs Executive Vice President, Leasing and Operations, Arie Bitton is responsible for leading our Leasing, Operations, Portfolio Management, and ESG teams, overseeing Crombie’s approximately 300 income-producing properties. His real estate experience, combined with his leadership expertise, enables Crombie to enrich our communities and enhance value to our unitholders. Prior to joining Crombie, Arie held progressively senior roles at Shoppers Drug Mart/Loblaw Companies Ltd., including Vice President of Real Estate. Arie is an alumnus of Harvard Business School and York University, and serves on Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) Canada’s National Advisory Council.
Victor Settino
Executive Vice President, Development & ConstructionIn his role of Executive Vice President, Development and Construction, Victor is responsible for leading Crombie’s development and construction activities, including oversight of our multi-billion-dollar development pipeline. Victor is an accomplished, results-oriented leader with a passion for real estate, and his team’s work enables Crombie to create and enrich communities. He brings close to 25 years of experience in commercial development and construction, having held progressively senior roles with Dream Unlimited and First Gulf Corporation. Victor holds a BAA (Urban and Regional Planning) from Toronto Metropolitan University.
Ashley Harrison
Senior Vice President, People & CultureAs Senior Vice President, People & Culture, Ashley Harrison provides leadership to translate our business strategy into People and Culture programs and leads strategic Communications and Marketing to drive business objectives. Before joining Crombie in 2015, Ashley worked in recruitment and HR consulting, where she collaborated with several organizations to support their leadership and HR needs and implement proven people and culture strategies. Ashley holds a Masters of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Saint Mary’s University. Ashley serves on the Board of the Aberdeen Health Foundation.
Fred Santini
General Counsel & SecretaryFred Santini is General Counsel and Secretary of Crombie. Fred is responsible for leading Crombie’s legal function. Prior to Crombie, Fred worked for Blake Cassels and Graydon where he practiced commercial real estate and commercial litigation law. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association. Upon completion of a BA in Economics and Political Science from the University of Toronto, Fred received his Bachelor of Law (LLB) from the University of Windsor. Fred is President and Co-Founder of Shining Through Centre for Children with Autism, from which he received the Community Leader Award at the 2016 Awards of Excellence from the Canadian Italian Business and Professional Association.
Brady Landry
Vice President, Financial Analysis & TreasuryAs Vice President, Financial Analysis and Treasury, Brady Landry oversees Crombie's financing, budgeting, forecasting, and investor relations. His oversight of these functions enables Crombie to manage risk and maintain financial strength by improving our balance sheet, allowing for future growth activities. Brady has over 20 years of industry experience. Prior to Crombie, he held progressive roles with Empire, our strategic partner. Brady is a CFA Charterholder and has an MBA from Dalhousie University. He holds a BBA (Computer Science) from Acadia University. Brady is the Vice President, Finance, of the Fundy Highland Female Hockey Association and serves on the Sutherland Harris Memorial Hospital Foundation board.
Terry Doran
Vice President, Office PropertiesTerry Doran is Vice President, Office Properties of Crombie. Terry is responsible for Crombie’s office portfolio, which includes properties across Halifax, Nova Scotia and Moncton, New Brunswick. He has over 30 years of real estate experience. Terry holds a BA from Dalhousie University and a Certificate in Financial Management from Saint Mary’s University. Terry has served on Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) Atlantic (past President), and BOMA Canada (past Environmental Standards Committee member), and BOMA Nova Scotia.
Aaron Bryant
Vice President, Design & Construction, Eastern CanadaAs Vice President, Construction & Design, Eastern Canada, Aaron Bryant oversees our Design and Construction teams across Central and Atlantic Canada focusing on residential, industrial, office and retail projects. Aaron began his Crombie career with Atlantic Shopping Centres (which became Crombie REIT) in 2001. A graduate of the University of New South Wales, Australia, Aaron is a Civil Engineer, a LEED-accredited professional, and a member of the Association of Professional Engineers in Nova Scotia.
Jelena Plecas
Vice President, Corporate Development StrategyAs VP, Corporate Development Strategy, Jelena Plecas is responsible for leading Crombie's national acquisition and disposition strategy. Prior to joining Crombie in 2017, Jelena was Senior Director, Market Strategies for Shoppers Drug Mart/Loblaw Companies Ltd., where she was responsible for integrating the grocery and drug real estate strategies and market analytics teams. As SDM's Director, Strategic Spatial Analysis, Jelena was responsible for developing the national Shoppers Drug Mart Real Estate Strategy and leading the market analytics/GIS team. Jelena holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from McMaster University, and a Post Graduate Diploma in GIS from Ryerson University.
Andrew Watt
Vice President, LeasingAndrew Watt leads our Retail Leasing team in their pursuit of national portfolio excellence as Vice President, Leasing. His team ensures our tenant mix enriches and meets the needs of our communities. Prior to joining Crombie, he held progressively senior roles with Trinity Development Group, Shoppers Drug Mart/Loblaw Companies Ltd., and Scotiabank Real Estate. Andrew holds a BA (Honours) from McMaster University, a Real Estate Development and Planning Certificate from Ryerson, and certificates from the Real Estate Institute of Canada.
Jennifer Sieber
Vice President, InvestmentsAs Vice President, Investments, Jennifer Sieber leads Crombie's Investments team, aligning business objectives with the acquisition and disposition strategy for the portfolio and enabling Crombie's real estate transactions. Jennifer’s real estate experience spans investments, development, leasing, and portfolio management. Prior to joining Crombie, Jennifer was VP, Development at Sovereign Asset Management, and VP, Real Estate and Store Development with Bulk Barn Foods Ltd. Jennifer is a graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University, with an Honours in Urban and Regional Planning and a certificate from Queens Executive Development.
Nathan Hines
Vice President, Operations & Portfolio ManagementAs Vice President, Operations & Portfolio Management, Nathan Hines leads Crombie’s Operations and Portfolio Management teams, supporting our commitment to national portfolio excellence. His teams work to optimize operational efficiencies while maintaining our properties, monitoring risk, and assisting in ESG initiatives. Nathan is a member of the Canada Property Tax Association (CPTA) and has a Post Graduate Property Valuation Certificate (PGCV), Certificate in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, and a Diploma of Urban Land Economics. He holds a BComm from Saint Mary's University and post-graduate studies in Real Estate from the University of British Columbia.
Antonella Talarico
Associate General CounselAs Associate General Counsel, Antonella Talarico leads Crombie’s Legal and Lease Documentation teams in providing legal advice, minimizing risks, and supporting all aspects of the business in our commitment to national portfolio excellence. Her teams handle all documentation and legal negotiations for deals in our portfolio and work closely to provide legal guidance to other teams in the organization to further the strategic objectives of the business. Antonella’s legal career has focused on commercial real estate with extensive experience working for landlords, tenants, and developers. She is a member of the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations. Upon completion of a BA (Honours) from York University, Antonella received her Bachelor of Law (LLB) from the University of Windsor.
