For the third year running, the Crombie Crushers took home the title of Top Fundraiser at the 2018 Race on the River, raising $29,000 for local charities!
We also claimed three out of the top four individual fundraising prizes, which went to Glenn Hynes and Joan Murray; Aaron Bryant; and Nathan Hines.
This event is about coming together to support our community while having fun, and over the last three years we have raised over $100,000 together! Funds raised during the Race stay in our community, and the 17th annual Race on the River supported the Pictou County Prostate Cancer Support Association, Special Olympics Northern Region, and Women Alike Breast Cancer Survivors Society.
Our team put forth a valiant effort in the races, welcoming members from the community onto our boat to join the quest for victory, and we finished in 6th place overall. As you can see from the photos, everyone had a lot of fun!
